Studying the 46 Hiragana characters is a cinch by using your IMAGINATION! In this lesson, there are 6 Hiragana groups to study.
Try to study each section in 30 minutes or less - this means you can recognize all 46 Hiragana in just 3 hours! Here's how:
Step 1: Prepare your notebook, pencil and eraser.
Step 2: Before studying a group, write down your [Start time: ___:___] in your notebook. Try to finish 1 group in 30 minutes or less.
Step 3: Look at the character at the upper left corner.
Step 4: Read the [Imagine:] story at the bottom, and VISUALIZE the character based on the [Imagine:]
Step 5: Look at the writing strokes, and practice writing the character in your notebook 10 times or more, while
recalling the [Imagine:] story.
Step 6: At the end of the group, write down your [End time: ___:___] in your notebook. Make sure that you finished the group in 30 minutes or less.
Step 7: After each group, write the answers to the [Hiragana Self-Test] in your notebook for practice. Also, read
the [Reflection:], to take note of the items that you have to be careful of while studying.
Step 9: おめでとう！
